Locate the book you want to transfer to your Kindle and click More actions. Log in to and click Accounts & Lists > Content & Devices. You can use Amazon's Personal Document Service to have files converted automatically to Amazon compatible file formats. With those things in mind, heres how you add books from Amazon to your Kindle without a Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, this can take some time for the download to actually happen (minutes to hours!) Your books will now appear in your Kindles library the next time you look. The Send to Kindle application allows you to download pdfs to your laptop or desktop computer, then send them to your Kindle using Amazon's Cloud technology. Connect your device to Wi-Fi and download the title from the Archived Items or Cloud. If you would like to read eBooks from the library on your Kindle, please email and request that Amazon allow compatibility with. While you can't download an entire book as a pdf, you can download individual chapters. Go to the website of your local public library and search for 'Kindle books' or 'eBooks.' At checkout, sign in to your Amazon account and select the device to which you want to send the book. At the Amazon page, use the drop-down menu to select the device to which you want to send the book. MSU Libraries' e-books are nearly all available as PDF documents, which can be used on Kindle devices. Use your Mississauga Library card to search the library catalogue or download these free apps to access books, ebooks and audiobooks on your computer. Tap the Kindle Apps & Devices option and sign in with your Amazon account. Go to the website of your local public library and search for 'Kindle books' or 'eBooks.' At checkout, sign in to your Amazon account and select the device to which you want to send the book. That means e-books that MSU Libraries purchases are not optimized for Kindle e-readers because we do not purchase Kindle editions. Check Out a Public Library Book Get a library card and a PIN from your local library. This is because Amazon has decided to use its own proprietary e-book format instead of EPUB. Amazon's Kindle e-Readers, while very popular and easy to use with titles purchased directly from Amazon, are probably the most difficult to use with MSU Library ebooks.
